The Board of Brotherhoods of Holy Week in Cartagena, meeting this Tuesday, February 2, agreed to suspend the election of the Poster that was going to announce Holy Week 2021, after the situation generated by the health crisis of COVID 19 has led the Authority Ecclesiastical to make the decision not to take the processions to the streets this year. In this way, the works presented in a timely manner (the deadline remained open until September 20, 2020) and that, at present, are deposited in the Department of Culture, in the "Ramón Alonso Luzzy" Cultural Center , will be guarded in said dependencies. As reported by the Board of Brotherhoods, once the pandemic has been overcome, at the time the celebration of processions is authorized, the process of choosing the Holy Week Poster will be reopened, carrying out the public exhibition of all the works presented in their day , as stated in the ninth section of the Bases for the Election of the aforementioned Poster. The place and dates of the exhibition will be announced through the Cartagena City Council website and the press.

The winning work will be, once the pandemic is over, the poster of the first Holy Week Processions that you see celebrated. Remember that the image of the next Holy Week Poster will be about the groups that procession works by Mariano Benlliure in the Great Procession of the Arrest of Christ on the night of Holy Wednesday of the Pontifical, Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus in the Painful Step of the Capture and Hope for the Salvation of Souls (California Brotherhood),  function { ;(, , {});}
