[Omitas are reorganized due to Covid infections among the Decentralization staff (21/01/2021)

| Municipal offices implement the appointment system to attend to citizens safely and avoid contagion | The Municipal Information and Administrative Processing Offices (Omita) that the Cartagena City Council has deployed in the municipality are being reorganized to guarantee the best service to residents, and as often as possible.

Everything, despite the coronavirus pandemic, which is fully affecting the staff of the Department of Decentralization, either with positives among its employees or due to the quarantines they must comply with as they are close contacts. This is the case of the Omita de Pozo Estrecho, which has been closed since last Friday, will open its doors again on Monday after the contagion of its person in charge, and after the office was disinfected on Tuesday.

Citizens, meanwhile, can be cared for at the facilities in La Palma, El Albujn or La Puebla, the closest towns.

When it reopens, this office will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Omita de El Albujn will see its presence reduced to two days, Tuesday and Thursday. In order to adapt to the new restrictions and the prevention required by the health authority, the appointment service has been implemented in the 21 municipal offices, which can be requested by calling directly the telephone number of each Omita.

It is planned, shortly, that the Decentralization council will activate a single telephone for prior appointments, and that they can be requested through the municipal website. The Decentralization Councilor, Diego Ortega, recognizes that "the pandemic is affecting us, although the reorganization of the service that has been proposed aims to guarantee the attention to the neighbors as often as possible".

. There are no changes in care in the offices of Los Dolores, Isla Plana-La Azoha, La Aljorra, La Palma and El Algar, which are open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at regular hours from 9: 00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m. There are also no changes in the Omitas of La Puebla-La Aparecida, which is open Monday and Thursday; and in Alums, which remains open Monday, Thursday and Friday. The offices of Pern (which continues to serve on Mondays), Canteras (Tuesday and Friday), Santa Ana (Friday), Miranda (Monday), and Vista Alegre (Tuesday) do not show any changes either.

And they maintain their usual frequency, the five days a week open to the public, the Omitas of Barrio Peral and La Manga, although in the latter the number of workers has been reduced by half. The modifications that have been proposed for organizational reasons affect the Omita de Los Belones, which reduces its opening to the public to two days.

It will open Wednesday and Thursday, and not on Fridays as before, for a quarantine.

And in the case of the Omita de Los Urrutias, the opening is reduced to Tuesday, instead of Tuesday and Thursday as before. In addition to the infections and quarantines, there is also a maternity leave that affects the organization of the El Llano del Beal office, which goes from being open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to being active only on Thursdays Although Decentralization foresees that it will return to the usual situation shortly, as soon as new personnel are incorporated into these facilities. In addition, there are planned referrals of personnel between the offices of Los Dolores, Los Belones and Molinos Marfagones.
