[MC: Noelia Arroyo (PP) makes fun of local businesses: withdraws aid and later regrets the closings (11/01/2021)

| Jes s Gim nez: "There is no money to help merchants, but Arroyo 'scratches' 60,000 euros to hire to a 'friend' journalist "| One of the sectors that has paid more directly for the sterile policies of the PP for two decades has been commerce.

Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs suffering the effects of a policy based on speculation, care for the like and the destruction of our potentialities, sometimes from the local level, other times, through the regional roller .

Aid and action plans have remained in promises of the leaders of the past and of those of now.

In this context, there are statements made on social networks by the current deputy mayor, Noelia Arroyo (PP), lamenting a new closure, in this case, of an emblematic shoe store.

Today, the deputy spokesperson for MC Cartagena, Jes s Gim nez, has invited the popular councilor to look inward.

Not a euro for trade aid "The vice mayor affirmed yesterday, on account of the closure of a popular shoe store after 40 years of activity, that we must support local commerce," Gim nez began recalling.

He then asserted that "Arroyo mocks local merchants to whom this year his Government has not given a single euro in aid, not one".

At the same time, he reasoned that "it is true that the businesses that close today do so due to a constant degradation of their activity, as true as that this degradation is a consequence of 25 years without support policies for the sector by of his party (the PP) ".

In the opinion of the also president of MC Cartagena, "his statements, although they come from his ignorance of the reality of Cartagena, are a lack of respect for the dozens of shops that have closed in the Old Town at this time.

those who keep the blind up with that mix of need and entrepreneurial vocation that make them heroes.

" A botched campaign for 40,000 euros Jes s Gim nez has continued his intervention revealing that "the most shocking thing is that there is money.

Arroyo has given COEC 40,000 euros, which he has removed from the business revitalization subsidies, which neither contemplates the 2021 budget, for a campaign of 'scratches' that has been a real fiasco according to the merchants themselves, without considering that even the ballots are read against the light and that a week later they are not know the winner of the car drawn ".

To conclude, the Cartagena leader stressed that "in this state of affairs, Arroyo has returned to 'scratch' and has spent another 60,000 euros in hiring a 'friend' journalist, because to support trade there is none, but to hiding their deficiencies, no means are spared ".
