We have accommodation to cover all needs, although some people decide to stay on the streets and both our professionals and social entities follow them up to try to protect them from the cold ”. In addition, the city council has organized the reinforcement of care for the elderly who live alone through the companies that provide help at home, reinforcing information, their surveillance and supplying their homes with food and medicine.

so they do not have to leave their home and expose themselves to the cold for the next few days.

The companies that provide food delivery services, remote assistance, home help service and family respite collaborate in this strategy. Arroyo has asked citizens not to hesitate to contact the Local Police if they detect a person living on the street so that they can be given the help they need.

“Many of these people suffer from serious addiction problems and our professionals know about their cases and try to get them to leave the street and enter recovery programs.

In other cases they are passersby.

We can all provide some kind of help and the information that citizens give us can facilitate this work ”.
