The Claustro of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena held today a session to present the candidacies for university ombudsman, held from the Government Council room using telematic means for the remote connection of the claustrales . The candidates for the post of university defender are the tenured professors of Universidad Antonio Guillam n Frutos and Andr s Perales Ag era. Antonio Guillam n, professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, was between 2012 and 2016 director of the School of Industrialists.
In the presentation of his candidacy, he stated that "it is unavoidable to generate participation, confidence in the Institution and in its internal control mechanisms." Andr s Perales, is the current director of the Department of Mining and Civil Engineering and was secretary general of the UPCT and director of the Technical School of Mines.
He has assured that he would like to be able to offer "my desire, my knowledge, my enthusiasm, my time and my experience to continue trying to improve this institution." The claustrales will be able to vote for the university defender candidates, through telematic means, on Monday the 21st.
The electoral campaign, which started yesterday, ends on the 18th.
