New PMUSA (Sustainable and Accessible Urban Mobility Plan) (10/12/2020)

| The groups for sustainable urban mobility in Cartagena following the news published in the press regarding the new PMUSA (Sustainable and Accessible Urban Mobility Plan) want to express the following: | 1 ° There are some measures of those that appear in this news that seem correct to us and that we have been demanding for years.

For example, the connection of the Vía Verde, the reform of the C / Esparta or the inclusion of the bike lane in the C / Trafalgar, among others. 2 ° We consider that once again this city council turns its back on the real participation of both groups and users of sustainable modes of travel, such as walking and cycling. During the celebration in November, of the much demanded and expected (by the groups) Mobility Table, one of the main topics to be discussed was precisely the presentation of the PMUSA's strategic lines.

At this meeting, we were told that participation was going to be one of them, and there was talk of launching a first phase, in which all the proposals from the relevant actors on mobility issues would be collected.

Said proposals would be evaluated and later, a document would be drawn up, which would be presented at a new meeting of the Table, where the necessary allegations would be made by the groups represented in it. However, we see with amazement that this Municipal Government does not comply with the guidelines that the same brand and has acted unilaterally, once again ignoring the members of the table and showing contempt for citizens and the work of numerous groups , as far as real participation is concerned. 3 ° We verify, always based on what appeared in the press, that very necessary proposals that we had made have been left out.

Among them, the Cartagena Amable Ciudad 30 proposal; compliance with the municipal ordinance of pedestrian crossings, which is set at 100 m.

the separation between them; as well as the restitution of the same that have been eliminated.

Nor can we forget the actual connection of the 6.7 km bike lane belt; the Alameda de San Antón / Paseo Alfonso XIII cycling axis; the actions to adapt and provide security for the bike lane on C / Juan Fdez., the proposals for Avda.

del Cantón, within the Rambla plan; or the adequate connections to walk or bike to Hospital Santa Lucia, among many others. We want to add that the actions that are going to be carried out imminently in the pedestrian crossings of Pio XII, seem insufficient to us to avoid trajedias like Óscar's and we do not understand how they do not execute, something as simple as it is economical, that it would be what is proposed by the groups: slowing down to 20 km / h and raising the pedestrian crossings in that area of ??the Barrio de la Concepción bridge section. Therefore, WE REQUEST that before any action or decision, the MOBILITY TABLE be convened, so that the groups are informed, as the Municipal Government promised, to solve all situations in the fastest and most effective way raised.
