| The works, awarded this week, will be undertaken with the budget of District 2 and respond to the commitment of the mayor with the neighbors to improve the road | The Cartagena City Council has awarded this week the asphalting works of the Los Carriones area.

The works, for an amount of 28,527.78 euros, will be undertaken with the budget of District 2.The works respond to the commitment made by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, with the neighbors, who contacted the first mayor to request improvements to the road.

For her part, the president of the Pozo Estrecho Neighborhood Council, Rosa Fernández, has valued these works very positively, which will contribute to facilitating traffic and access to the area.In this way, the dirt streets that run through Los Carriones, in the Pozo Estrecho county council, where several dozen people currently live, will be paved, after registering a slight increase in population in recent years and increasing the influx of traffic rolled.The works will consist of the repair of the sidewalks and the asphalting of the dirt streets through which the residents must travel, both on foot and in their vehicles.

The execution period is 30 days.“Los Carriones still has dirt roads and, when it rains, these often present difficulties to move.

With these works, we will facilitate the movements of the residents who live there and we will improve access to the hamlet and road safety in the area, ”said the councilor for District 2, David Martínez Noguera.
