The Agrupación del Santísimo y Real Cristo de la Misericordia was founded in 1978.

After parading during its first years without belonging to any Brotherhood, in 1987 it was fully integrated into the California Brotherhood, presiding from that moment, together with the Virgen del Rosario, the first and youngest California procession that takes place on Dolores Friday.
