The Buran Energy Group shares its commitments to Sustainability at the event held at the facilities of TANCAR (Tanques de Cartagena), a company that is part of the Buran Energy Group, located in the port of Escombreras, with the assistance of the Sustainability Manager of the Cartagena Port Authority. During the event, both Antonio de Lara, Head of the Storage Terminal, and Agustín Silva, Head of Infrastructure at Buran Energy, expressed the opportunity to direct activities towards the field of Sustainability with automation and data management as axes for the sustainable efficiency.

These strategic keys will be present in the project of operational improvements and expansion that will be carried out in a short time and that will result, in addition to the optimization of operations and the expansion of capacity, the adaptation of the Terminal to the energy transition with the incorporation of the storage of lighter fuels (Gasolines and Bio-Gasolines). The event was also attended by Rafael Cano, Head of Sustainability of the Cartagena Port Authority, who shared the projects related to the Sustainability and the Environment of the Port of Cartagena, the Environmental Management Systems or the initiatives that promote integration Port-City.

He also commented on the contributions made directly or indirectly to each of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially those referring to climate change, underwater life and the management of alliances, in line with what was expressed by Alejandro García, Head of Sustainability and Communication from Buran Energy, which highlighted Buran Energy's commitment to Sustainability, both from an economic, social and environmental point of view. In the case of Buran Energy, the reduction of Greenhouse Gas emissions and the promotion of the use of renewable energies and green H2 become essential axes of its corporate strategy with the incorporation of new projects related to the management of forest stands, the support for primary sectors such as Iberian natural resin or the development of the Green Hydrogen generation experimental project that will be integrated into the improvement works of the TANCAR Terminal in Cartagena. About Buran Energy Since its inception in 2015, the Buran Energy Group has integrated into its business the main stages of the energy sector value chain from the generation of renewable energy, the storage of hydrocarbons at its cargo terminals in Cartagena and Malaga, distribution to wholesale as an operator and retail marketing through its own network of Service Stations distributed throughout the peninsular geography.
