Culture organizes some online training sessions to give air to the Cartagena art sector (04/11/2020)

The Cartagena City Council, through the Guidance and Professional Development Service for Artists, has organized online training sessions with the aim of helping local creators to train as artists and teach them to make their efforts profitable and become professionals.On the content of these conferences, which will take place between November 23 and December 14, the deputy mayor, Noelia Arroyo, and the delegate councilor for Culture, Carlos Piñana, have given details, noting that throughout the Different presentations will address all phases of artistic creation, from the composition of the work to its sale, through its recording and the corresponding marketing campaign.For Noelia Arroyo, it is about providing training for the creator to become a professional, and for the professional creator to perfect their knowledge, "this initiative reinforces our commitment to the cultural industry and local artists, especially new ones, young people , and at a time when the world of culture is suffering particularly hard from the measures imposed to control the health crisis generated by the pandemic ”.Thus, throughout the eight talks that make up the conference, the participating artists will be able to go hand in hand with specialists all the way from the moment a work is written or composed until it is presented to the public.A pioneering projectThe Councilor delegate for Culture recalled, for his part, the creation, in September of last year, of "the first office of artists in Spain here in Cartagena", where the Guidance and Professional Development Service has been launched, a project pioneer.More than 100 artists from different disciplines have registered in this office with the main objective of advising them in the development of their projects, and now, it focuses on their training through courses, workshops and presentations, which serve for entrepreneurship, " to provide them with competence and skills that allow them to be the best in their respective artistic disciplines, "the mayor highlighted.These first training days, as explained by Piñana, will be dedicated to topics related to music, which is where the most registrations have been received, and later they will be dedicated to other disciplines such as theater or dance, “always from the hand of great professionals who will be in charge of the presentations ”.Although they are free, these online sessions require prior registration by email: jornadasformativascartagena@gmail.com, since the number of places is limited (10/15 people).More information on phone 968 128850
