MC Cartagena gets the Government to start repairing the La Asomada road (04/11/2020)

| Enrique Pérez: "Five days after rejecting our motion, they are forced to act on a road with heavy daily traffic" | Yesterday, the Department of Infrastructures of María Casajús (PP) reported on the work that was being carried out to repair the road surface "in one of the busiest sections of the La Asomada road." Curiously, a fact that practically coincides in time with the motion presented last Thursday by the Cartagena councilor, Enrique Pérez, rejected by the local government, in which we demand to increase road safety in the area of ??Molinos Gallegos, "located in the winding point of the road that connects La Asomada with San Félix ". Among the claims of our initiative, it was necessary to "replace the asphalt layer along about 200 meters, between the ITV of La Asomada and the first existing curve at the height of the school and the rest of the services in the area", something that the local Executive begins to fulfill now despite denying the plenary support. This is how Enrique Pérez began to explain it.

"On Thursday, councilor Juan Pedro Torralba tells us that they cannot act on the La Asomada highway because it is regionally owned and yesterday, five days later, his colleague María Casajús announced on the municipal website works to repair the firm in the section that we claimed ". Immediately afterwards, the Cartagena councilor has summarized the work of the local Executive.

"This is how this government works.

We do not know if in this case it is incapacity, revenge, short-sightedness or frustration at the fact that in MC we set the path for them, but we are pleased that they have had to rectify and improve a road that is especially traveled by the accumulation of existing services there ". Subsequently, the mayor has encouraged the local government to "continue executing the other demands that this highway needs, which, as we said, is municipal responsibility." "There is still a need for vertical signage, panels complementary to the signs for the proximity of the curve, as well as increasing the lighting, insufficient to date.

We will be attentive to the announcements of the Government, which, much to its regret, is forced to assume the projects and MC planning to improve Cartagena ", concluded Enrique Pérez.
