Infrastructure carries out asphalting works in La Manga and Islas Menores (28/10/2020)

| The coastal improvement works also include the renovation of lighting at the entrance to La Manga, which will be carried out in a period of two months | The Department of Infrastructure of the Cartagena City Council has launched asphalt actions in coastal areas to reinforce and improve maintenance and safety on the Gran Vía de La Manga and on several streets in Islas Menores, once the period has ended summer, as reported by the mayor of the Area, María Casajús.The councilor explained that "the asphalt works in La Manga cover the kilometer between the La Gola bridge and the Nuevo Puerto Bello urbanization and that they are added to the improvement actions in this area of ??the coast that have been carried out throughout the year, such as the asphalting of the beginning of La Manga, the improvement of the horizontal signaling or the public lighting ”.

Among the lighting works, Casajús has announced the renovation of 36 LED luminaires that will be placed at the beginning of La Manga in a period of two months.In addition, "asphalting works are also being carried out in several streets of Islas Menores, in the streets Islas Sisargas, Islas Maldivas, Graciosa and Isla Sálvora.The mayor recalled that "the pandemic prevented us from carrying out these actions before summer, so we decided to wait until the summer period ended to cause the least inconvenience to neighbors and tourists" and stressed that "these improvements mean improving the services that we offer citizens and reinforce the image of our coastline to visitors and tourists who decide to choose Cartagena as a tourist destination ”.
