MC Cartagena demands that the signage for tourism purposes be unified in the municipality (25/10/2020)

| Arantxa Pérez: "Currently, billboards and billboards present a decaying state that threatens the image we intend to sell" | One of the 'announced' objectives of this legislature by the turncoat and popular government is to initiate the path for the declaration of Cartagena as a 'World Heritage City', a prestigious distinction awarded by UNESCO. Herculean task for an Executive who gets lost in the most everyday in the tourist field, as is the case of the fences and mupis scattered throughout our municipal area in the main access roads that, as we can see at a glance, " they show a deplorable state of conservation, in addition to a disparity that denotes neglect and the lack of a unified idea.

" This is how the councilor of MC Cartagena, Arantxa Pérez, has begun his argument, who has announced that his training will request during the next plenary session that a plan be designed "to unify the indicative signs of welcome to the municipality as it is the first distinctive element that tourists appreciate upon arriving in our city.

A first impression that today is regrettable and the reflection of a municipality abandoned to its fate ". Then, the councilor has meant that this poster welcomes welcome announcements but also related to "commerce or tourist attractions, so they must have an attractive and not dissuasive and depressing effect, as we appreciate to date". "In addition," Pérez continued, "some of them have an anachronistic aspect and not adapted to the needs of a sector, tourism, in constant change and in need of adapting to the new demands of users." "Ultimately, we aspire to find a logical criterion to guide this new signage, combining aesthetics and functionality.

In the meantime, we will demand that the damaged billboards and billboards be removed for the benefit of the good image of a municipality that, they say, aspires to become a World Heritage Site ", Arantxa Pérez concluded.
