From the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Murcia they declare their opposition to the precautionary measures proposed by the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS). Thus, from Fecoam they continue to express the error of punishing agriculture so harshly with measures that do not conform to reality and seriously harm the sector, "they say. Likewise, from Fecoam they denounce that "these measures not only will not be effective for the environmental protection of the Mar Menor, but also that the CHS is not the entity responsible for establishing this type of measures, since there is a Law of the Mar Menor elaborated and debated by the regional legislature, which is the one who has the capacity to do so ". Along with this, from the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives they emphasize that "although we do not share all the points of the Mar Menor Law, we understand and defend that there is a regulation that also promotes and encourages sustainable agriculture and the protection of the Mar Menor". Furthermore, this position contrary to the measures stipulated by the CHS was supported by other regional agrarian organizations last summer. In this same sense, together with other agricultural organizations, Fecoam thinks that there must be "greater coordination between the different Administrations to face a problem of as important as the one being dealt with." In addition, they request the Segura Hydrographic Confederation to agree on "effective measures that protect the Mar Menor and generate employment and prosperity in the area through sustainable agriculture that has been practiced for years in most of the agricultural holdings of Campo de Cartagena ".
