| Before the presentation of amendments, MC chooses to avoid the approval of a resolution other than his proposal | The extraordinary plenary session of the Cartagena City Council, called to debate the motion presented by MC Cartagena regarding the health and environmental situation of La Aljorra, has finally been left without debate or approval of any resolution, after the proponents have chosen to withdraw it after the intervention of the neighbors.The presentation of amendments to his proposal has been the reason given by his spokesman, José López, to justify his decision, since it could have led to the approval of a resolution other than the text of the motion.

López has said he is satisfied with having encouraged the direct intervention of the residents of La Aljorra, presenting their demands before the plenary session.The session was opened by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, giving the floor to the representatives of the residents and the elderly of the town, who from a lectern have exposed their claims to the Corporation for the improvement of the sanitary infrastructures, whose deficiencies make them feel discriminated against compared to other areas of the municipality, and their fears about the risks and contamination they suffer, due to the proximity of Sabic and agricultural activities, as well as the lack of information from the regional administration and the company itself .At the end of her speeches, the mayor thanked her for her presentation and indicated that they will carefully study her claims to work together on their solution.
