The Cartagena Folk band Krisuvik and the Mujeres con Raíz project inaugurate the Cartagena Folk this Friday (15/10/2020)

| The festival moves this edition to La Rambla Park and will have a "silent" stage | The Cartagena Folk celebrates its eleventh edition this weekend, this Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17 and it does so in a new location, in the Parque de la Rambla, next to the Cartagonova Stadium.

The festival that this Saturday will have a "silent" stage will feature La Banda Morisca, Young Forest, Cooldesac, Mujeres con Raíz and the Cartagena band Krisuvik, the last two participating this Friday.

The festival will be free and will be accessed in order of arrival until full capacity is reached. Recovered four years ago by the Cartagena City Council, this festival has been characterized as a festive event, with an innovative essence in which traditional music groups and artists in their different facets, show current trends in the re-elaboration of root music.

The Morisca Band, direct heirs of Radio Tarifa, head the bill for this edition.

One of the most important projects on the regional folk scene will also be in Cartagena, with an indisputable female protagonism, Mujeres con Raíz.The Madrid group Young Forest will bring its indie folk style with Anglo-Saxon influences, the Alicante band Cooldesac will put their Celtic sounds on stage, with reels, jigs and other traditional rhythms from Ireland and Scotland.

We must add Krisuvik from Cartagena, who will present their instrumental project, and the local capoeira group Abadá.The Cartagena Folk will have a new structure in its premiere at the La Rambla Park, with two stages, exhibitions, a DJ and a restaurant space.

The Cartagena City Council is making a big bet that this festival has an environmentally sustainable edition.

As the main novelty, a technology implemented for the first time at the public level throughout the Region will be released, which will make it possible to carry out musical concerts without sound emission.

There will be a Silent Concert stage where the audience will listen to the concerts through wireless headphones. SCHEDULE:Friday 16th- 20: 30h.

Krisuvic- 22: 00h.
