The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, received today at the San Esteban Palace Lorena Madrid from Cartagena who will participate in the sixth edition of the 'Pelayo Vida Vuelta España 2020 Challenge', after having overcome breast cancer, to whom she delivered a flag of the Region of Murcia that will accompany him on the expedition that he undertakes on October 12 along with four other women who have also defeated cancer.López Miras highlighted "the courage and strength" of Lorena Madrid to whom he wished "luck and courage to face the journey and continue to be an example for so many women."The expedition will consist of a boat trip around the Iberian Peninsula with the aim of giving visibility to cancer in women and the importance of practicing sports as part of their recovery.
