The City Council prepares the return of the activities in the municipal social premises (25/09/2020)

| The Neighborhood Associations must present a detailed file on each of the activities to be developed.

The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 calendar days from tomorrow, Saturday, September 26 | The Cartagena City Council has prepared an authorization procedure to reactivate the activities in the municipal social premises, where the Neighborhood Associations that manage the social premises must submit a detailed file on each of the activity to be developed, which will be evaluated by a Commission mixed formed by municipal officials, including a doctor, and by representatives of the Federation of Associations of Neighbors, Women and the Elderly, as reported by the Councilor for the Decentralization Area, Diego Ortega.Ortega explained that “in the file, they must fill in information about the activity, the organizing entity, the duration, place and days of the event, the identity of the monitors and the person responsible for it, as well as the dimensions of the room and the number and age of participants ”.

All this, according to the councilor, "must be accompanied by the authorization of the president of the social premises and the tasks of cleaning and disinfection of the space."Once presented to the town hall, “the Commission will assess the application, provided that it complies with all the protection and security measures to avoid possible infections by coronavirus.

And once approved, the users of the activity will present a responsible declaration ”.

In this declaration, they undertake to implement preventive measures against COVID-19 in social venues and will be responsible for all measures adopted so far.The councilor stressed that “we need detailed information to determine that the return of activities does not pose a danger to any Cartagena, especially the elderly, who are still a population at risk and we must prevent and avoid infections.

But we also wanted to make an effort so that the activity returns to the social venues and respond to the requests of many Cartagena groups ”.The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 calendar days from tomorrow, Saturday, September 26, and they will be submitted electronically through the municipal electronic headquarters.
