MoviliCT for your health demands that the City Council comply with the program of activities that it proposed to the European Union when registering for the European Mobility Week (17/09/2020)

The members of the citizen collective express their disappointment and anger with the Cartagena City Council, since, like the previous year, it does not fulfill its commitments to Europe or to the members of the Mobility Table. This morning, given the impossibility of carrying it in hand, a letter was sent by email demanding to the councilor for infrastructures the convocation of the table, at the same time that a document with the essential proposals has been sent to him, to improve mobility in Cartagena."It is shameful that since last week we have been trying to speak with Juan Pedro Torralba, responsible for the activities of the SEM as stated on the registration page, and it has been impossible to contact him or any other person from the City Council, who indicated us if they were going to start the activities and if the Mobility Table was also going to be convened ", they comment from the citizen community. This attitude clearly indicates that issues such as sustainable mobility, environmental problems, climate change and the well-being of the citizens of Cartagena are not important to the politicians who govern us."We feel great sadness and healthy envy, when we look at the news and see how in other cities, Murcia, without going any further, policy makers are aware of the importance of raising awareness among citizens; and they take advantage of the SEM, to go out to the street and start activities aimed at that end "indicate from the group.Meanwhile, the members of MoviliCT for your health continue to develop their plan of activities.

Within it, next Saturday the 19th, the third urban route by bike and skates will be carried out, which this time will go to the south and north, to denounce, among others, the lack of connection by accessible sidewalk and safe bike lane, both the Santa Lucía Hospital and the Espacio Mediterráneo shopping center.
