Active Return achieves the labor insertion of 70% of the young people who have participated this summer (31/08/2020)

paid internships | The first edition of the 'Active Return' program of the Youth Council has achieved, so far, a labor insertion of 70% of its members.

Specifically, of the 11 young people who have participated in the work plan established for the months of June, July and August, 8 have already found a job, 2 are immersed in a selection process and 1 pending to start a paid internship.As explained by the Youth Councilor, David Martínez Noguera, "the objective of this program has been to accompany and guide young people to improve their employability, motivating and facilitating the development of skills that improve their job search tools."During this accompaniment process, he has combined training in employment skills, personal development, labor market research (visible / hidden), the creation of an effective search strategy and mediation with the company to facilitate participation in processes selection and insertion, according to the professional profile of each participant.“Active Return has worked with participants derived from other employment programs of the Youth Council, who have already developed an itinerary and need to complete the process with effective support for insertion.

Specifically, 11 young people with different professional profiles have participated, derived from the Return of Talent program, the Expeura program and beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System, a European initiative subsidized by the European Social Fund ”, indicated the mayor.The work plan has been structured in face-to-face and online group sessions, as well as individual telephone and video-call tutorials, adapted to the demand of each participant.

The face-to-face session was held at the offices of the Youth Council, one day a week, and the online sessions were held using the Cartagena City Council videoconferencing platform, Jitsi Meet.The contents worked on in the classroom have been aimed at each participant to discover and value their objectives and their attitude towards the job search, as well as working with all those necessary tools to overcome selection processes.For its part, the contents worked on in the individual tutorials have been directed both to specifically support the positioning and search for offers adapted to each participant and to emotional management for the preparation, development and analysis of the interviews carried out.All the participants have registered in different selection processes during the program.
