The new La Aljorra school only needs the approval of the Autonomous Community (27/08/2020)

| The CHS does not oppose the authorization of construction of the center on undeveloped land | Once the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) has ruled indicating that "there is no inconvenience in this regard" in relation to the construction of the new La Aljorra educational center, the processing of the file is only, in the absence of the approval of the General Directorate of Territory and Architecture of the Autonomous Community. In this report, the CHS recalls that the future school is in a flood zone, but, since the sector is outside the scope of the police, it would be up to the Autonomous Community to indicate to the City Council whether or not it is necessary to implement corrective measures in the project.“Once we know that Confederación does not oppose the exceptional authorization for the construction of the new school, we expect maximum speed from the Autonomous Community because the parents of La Aljorra have been waiting too long to see this project become a reality.

The City Council has everything prepared so that the tender for the urbanization of the plot takes place as soon as we receive the green light from the regional government ”, said the Councilor for Education, Irene Ruiz. The Cartagena City Council made a commitment with the CARM to make the land available to them and develop the plot.

It should be remembered that, once the City Council has the green light of the Autonomous Community, the tender for the urbanization work of the accesses to the La Aljorra school can be started, for which the Department of Education has a reserved item of 345,000 euros of municipal budgets and, from Infrastructures, the specifications have already been prepared and reported so that, as soon as the report arrives, it can be tendered immediately.Similarly, last year the first phase of urbanization around the center was carried out, consisting of diverting the high voltage line that crossed the interior of the plot and which involved a municipal investment of 120,999.75 euros.
