Three hikers are rescued by sea in Cala Aguilar (04/08/2020)

| Firefighters rescue three hikers by sea, one of whom had been injured and could not walk, in Cala Aguilar (Cartagena) | Firefighters from the Firefighting, Salvage and Civil Protection Service of the City of Cartagena this afternoon evacuated by sea three French hikers, one of whom had been injured and could not walk, when they were in Cala Aguilar, within the Regional Park of the Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso and Roldán, in the aforementioned municipality.

Civil Protection Sanitaries of Cartagena have attended the injured person on the ground, who has moved to his health center by his own means.The 1-1-2 received the one from a kayaker who was in Cala Aguilar informing that there was a group of three hikers, one of whom had a possible ankle sprain and could not walk, so he requested his evacuation by sea.

Firefighters from the Cartagena SEIS mobilized with a rescue boat, while a Civil Protection vehicle with medical personnel headed for the Portús beach, where they were disembarked.

Once the rescued were ashore, the victim (male, 51 years old) was assessed by the snitarians.

They immobilized his ankle and already, by their own means, go to a health center.
