Thus, this service, which will begin to be installed for the municipal Statistics service and for the General Registry, located on the ground floor of the San Miguel building, will extend the hours for obtaining prior appointments, which from now on can be obtained at any time of the day.In this way, citizens can obtain an appointment by calling the direct telephone number (968) 12 88 18 at any time of the day.

This telephone service, which was launched since the opening of the administrative buildings on June 15, has been developed in summer time by public employees (from 9:00 a.m.

to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday) ."The main advantage offered by the new virtual voice answering service translates into extended hours, since calls are going to be answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so we can provide a better service to the citizen" , has highlighted the councilor for Transparency, General Services and Electronic Administration, Alejandra Gutiérrez.In addition, the cost of the service maintained by municipal personnel is higher than the cost of hiring said voice service.With the new service, citizens will be assisted by a locution system or virtual answering machine that will ask them if they want to obtain an appointment at the Municipal Statistics service, where the issuance of flyers and registration certificates, registrations, cancellations in the Register is processed.

Municipal and address changes, among other matters, or in the General Registry, to request the registration certificate or citizen applications before the City of Cartagena and also to other Public Administrations.In this way, the locution system to be launched has a switchboard assistant for eight simultaneous locutions, so that up to eight simultaneous calls from citizens can be answered, 24 hours a day.

At the same time, it has been foreseen that said system will have a call statistics that indicates the volume of calls and peak times, in order to be able to assess whether for the year 2021 it is necessary to contract a service expanded to 10 simultaneous locutions .With this system, Alejandra Gutiérrez explained, “the voice answering machine connects with the system of previous appointments that is accessible on the municipal website www.cartagena.es in" prior appointment with "so that both telematically through the web and by phone, citizens can get a prior appointment in Municipal Statistics and General Registry ”.Finally, the councilor has reminded citizens that the day and time they get the previous appointment, they must appear, wearing masks, with a maximum and minimum notice at the same time to avoid unnecessary queues in the administrative building where they have requested their appointment and enter their DNI in the ticket vending machine, so that the system can recognize and confirm the previous appointment with an indication of the table at which they will be served.
