The City Council will hire 17 unemployed people in collaboration with the SEF (23/07/2020)

| The government board has approved at its meeting this Thursday three projects submitted to the Employment and Training Service, which will involve the incorporation of personnel to the Finance and New Areas Technologies, Infrastructures and Youth | The local government board, meeting this Thursday, July 23 under the chairmanship of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved, outside the agenda, three projects submitted to the SEF for hiring unemployed people.Thus, as explained by the Deputy Mayor, Noelia Arroyo, in the Finance and New Technologies Area the green light has been given to the Digitization and Employment project, "whose objective is to bring the administration closer to the citizen and to promote the use of administration electronics".It will take place between November 2020 and April 2021, the amount is 64,515.30 euros and will involve the hiring of five people, three computer technical assistants, an administrative assistant and a documentary technician.Another project is presented by Youth, these are actions under the title Cartagena Futura, and eight people will be hired, spread over different areas.

Regarding Youth, an administrative assistant and a social educator; in terms of Employment and in coordination with the ADLE, a career guidance technician and an administration and documentation technician; in the matter of Equality, a social educator and an administrative assistant; and in the matter of Culture, two technicians will be hired.The SEF will subsidize this project with 108,420 euros.Finally, in the Infrastructure Area four people will be hired to deal with the lack of personnel detected after suffering the consequences of DANAS.

The amount of this project is around 58,000 euros and will involve the incorporation of a technical architect, two public works engineers and an industrial engineer.Agreement with Puerto de CulturasAmong other issues, the government board has given the green light to the agreement between Cartagena Puerto de Culturas and the City Council for the implementation of tourist packages to Cartagena and aid to the hotel sector.Endowed with 80,000 euros, the first measure to be adopted will be the purchase of up to a thousand hotel nights as part of the "Cartagena: You will have to choose" campaign.

This program will be able to host rural accommodation, camping sites, tourist accommodation, hostels and hotels, both in the city and on the coast.Collaboration with the Caja Murcia FoundationA collaboration agreement between the Caja Murcia Foundation and the Cartagena City Council will entail the implementation of works to improve the social centers for the elderly, as well as support for the programming of own activities of a welfare and cultural nature, amounting to 15,000 euros.The monitoring and concretion of clauses of this agreement will be carried out through the constitution of a joint Joint Commission that will resolve the issues that arise.The period will be one year, from January 1 to December 31, 2020, and the agreement does not entail financial obligations for the City Council.Other items on the agendaOn the other hand, the government meeting approved the payment of the bills derived from the social emergency device for the care of families affected by the economic crisis of COVID-19, for an amount of 189,100 euros.Lastly, it should be noted that the call for aid to officials for training has been approved, of 1,000 euros per official who requires it, as well as the bases of the Mandarache and Hache Awards for the amount of 3,000 euros each.
