| These works involve the installation of new streetlights and the modernization of 17 lights with LED technology in three streets: Montes Pirineos street, Monte Carmolí street and Monte Igueldo street | The Carmolí will soon have the modernization and expansion of new street lighting with LED technology, after being awarded this week to the company Constu Archena SL with a budget of 28,900 euros, which visibly lowers the initially planned cost of 41,322 euros, within the Plan of improvement of infrastructure in the southern towns of the Mar Menor.The vice mayor and head of the Mar Menor Commission, Noelia Arroyo, has reported that "it involves the installation of new streetlights and the modernization of 17 lights with LED technology in three streets, Montes Pirineos street, Monte Carmolí street and Monte Igueldo street".Seven new 7 cm high columns will be installed and the rest of the columns will be renewed to maintain the same aesthetic, replacing the luminaires with new points of light with LED technology.

In addition, it is planned to provide new lighting lines to continue improving service in this area of ??the Mar Menor.Arroyo recalled that "it was a request from the residents that will mean improving the service we provide from the City Council, within the Plan to improve energy efficiency, which is allowing the installation of LED lights throughout the municipality" and stressed that " This action improves the aesthetics of the urban furniture in the area and the lighting, reducing energy consumption and contributing to the environment ”.The new lighting in El Carmolí joins the actions already carried out in Los Urrutias and Los Nietos, with the new playgrounds and the bio-healthy areas and sports court.

The new public lighting on the Punta Brava promenade that is in the Contracting phase is pending.
