MC will promote the guarantee of the cleaning of lots in Punta Brava and El Carmolí and medical care in the scattered rural areas of Lentiscar (13/07/2020)

deputation | Next Wednesday, the ordinary Plenary Session of the Neighborhood Council of La Puebla-La Aparecida will take place.

During the session, the representatives of MC Cartagena, Santiago León, José Sánchez and Javier Arroyo, will defend various measures of interest to the residents, such as the cleaning of lots in Punta Brava and El Carmolí, as well as the creation of a database on the themselves. The spokesman for the Cartagena formation in this Neighborhood Board, Santiago León, has lamented that "not only the beach of Los Urrutias, El Carmolí and Punta Brava show an unfortunate state of its waters", but that the lack of municipal attention is also noted in what refers to "street cleaning, gardening and lots", this area suffering from "an annual plan," which means that "everything is improvised and left to the last minute." León has called attention to the poor state of conservation presented by more than fifty private plots, blaming this situation on "the ineffectiveness and inability of the person in charge of the Health area", proposing MC that the Neighborhood Board urge the local Government to make a base of land data according to cadastral, registry and census criteria, in addition to programming an action plan for the application of the land cleaning ordinance. The proposed procedure would entail that at the beginning of the year, after inspection of the state of the site, the Government notify its owners of the cleaning obligation, and the application of the municipal ordinance not to be carried out by the individual subsequently comes into effect. Medical assistance in dispersed rural areas of the Lentiscar Likewise, MC will encourage the local government to transfer to the Ministry of Health the obligation to provide vehicles of the Murcian Health Service to those offices whose professionals have to travel to dispersed towns of ten or more kilometers from the base office itself, such as the Lentiscar.

Likewise, it is argued that this proposal is not only applicable to the Lentiscar, but also to the western area, in which the possible closure of doctor's offices in this environment would force them to depend on the Molfa Marfagones Health Center. This initiative aims to provide solutions to the current context caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, which results in professionals having to travel in their own vehicle to attend to emergency situations without being able to guarantee the necessary security measures. Nomination of space or public premises as José Martínez Aparicio Another initiative has to do with the request for the recognition of the figure of José Martínez Aparicio, Pepe 'El Rochero', a well-known neighbor who died a few weeks ago, and who stood out for a life history devoted to his town, La Aparecida, and the needs of its citizens.

The motion contemplates that the associations of La Aparecida select the space or premises that take the name of José Martínez Aparicio, as well as proposing that a bust, borne by neighbors, associations and local administration, remember the figure of this beloved neighbour. José Martínez, a farmer and rancher by profession, maintained throughout his life a close and intimate relationship with this town in Campo de Cartagena.

He belonged to different associations performing different functions, always with a collaborative and unifying attitude. Other initiatives Among other issues, the Cartagena training will also require the local government to recover the collaboration agreement with the Irrigation Community of the Campo de Cartagena to contribute to the maintenance and conservation of rural roads, existing in the Lentiscar deputation up to 170 kilometers between roads and service roads.

It should be remembered that these roads are not only for agricultural use, but are also used by the neighborhood community. In addition, as was done in 2018, an initiative will be presented in relation to the establishment of the sewerage and sanitation networks of Los Beatos and Los Ortegas (La Aparecida), as well as the decentralization of meters and the improvement of the water network in scattered nuclei of the Lentiscar, being able to count on the casualties of Hidrogea works for it.

Lastly, MC will also be interested in knowing if any steps have been taken to improve access to the Santa María del Buen Aire school in La Puebla.
