The Tapa and Sweet Route returns to Los Belones (29/06/2020)

| The gastronomic event, which this year is held from July 1 to 20, will have 20 establishments offering sweet and savory tapas | Los Belones prepares its XI Ruta de la Tapa and the campaign 'Endulzate la vida en Los Belones', organized by ACOBE and the Cartagena City Council, with the participation of 20 establishments consolidating the town as a gastronomic benchmark for the municipality."With initiatives like this, it is possible to give Los Belones the importance it deserves in the gastronomic field, since it has become the cradle of the sector on its own merits," according to the deputy mayor and councilor of the Health Area, Manuel Padín, at the presentation of this initiative at the City Hall.The deputy mayor explained that despite the current situation, "together, hand in hand, we can get out of this" although "we cannot relax, we must continue to respect all the measures recommended by the health authorities."As a novelty this year, the traditional Ruta de la Tapa is accompanied by sweet with the incorporation of small desserts, which in this edition will have 12 participants with salty tapas and 8 with sweet tapas, with a price of 3.50 euros per cover + drink and 3.50 for coffee + candy.The gastronomic route begins this Wednesday, July 1 and will run until July 20 and will have 5 prizes for the winners.

This year there will be members from various localities in addition to Los Belones, such as La Manga, Los Nietos, El Puntal or Atamaría and as a peculiarity tapas will not be served on Sundays, as it is the busiest day, in order to avoid crowds as a measure preventive before the Covid-19.For his part, Acobe's vice president, Pablo Guardiola, explained that this year, by celebrating the event in the summer season, they hope to sell more tapas than last year, as it is a tourist area.GRANDMOTHER'S STEW ROUTE AWARDS AND BEST ASIANThe Acobe Secretary, Carmen Vera, has carried out the awards ceremony corresponding to the Grandmother's Stew Route, whose winner is the Pablo Guardiola Restaurant and the best Asian award for Belones Bar.

On the other hand, a the prizes among the participants who tasted the top of the Grandmother's Stew, with a gasoline check worth 50 euros redeemable at the Torreciega or La Manga Club gas station, donated by `La Manga Renta Car´, whose winner is Isabel Booming and a hotel night donated by `Zafiro Tours´, for Cristina Peñalver and Julián Cabello.
