| The City Council has launched this project this Wednesday, June 10, which will focus on social networks and advertising spots to reach to the youth audience | Betting on local commerce is the objective of the promotion campaign that the Cartagena City Council has launched in order to encourage purchases in traditional establishments in the municipality.

"We want to encourage our neighbors to choose local and traditional commerce as their shopping alternative, compared to online channels," explained the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.The campaign has been launched this Wednesday, June 10, and will focus on social networks and advertising spots to reach the youngest audience, as well as regular buyers who have turned to online channels during confinement. "The crisis we have experienced has revealed the need to seek a better world, to modify our consumption habits to achieve the most ecological and sustainable society that we all want.

And the change begins with ourselves, if we bet on traditional businesses, those in our neighborhoods, we reduce the use of plastics and fuels and we support our merchants, who are going through a difficult time ”, highlighted the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón .The campaign, which has the support of the Confederation of Business Organizations (COEC) and which has been funded by the Local Development and Employment Agency (ADLE), includes messages such as: “If you shop near your home, you start to change everything "; "Without leaving your neighborhood, you improve the planet"; "From your street you can clean the oceans.""Choosing local commerce is taking a first step towards a fairer, more balanced society, far from globalization, less polluted and, ultimately, better", concluded Castejón.
