An article by Professor Carmelo Reverte, among the 20 most influential in the last decade in Corporate Social Responsibility (04/06/2020)

| The work of the Professor of Business Sciences brings together almost 1,000 citations in Google Scholar | The article by Carmelo Reverte Maya, professor of Financial Economics and Accounting at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), entitled "Determinants of corporate social responsibility disclosure ratings by Spanish listed firms" and published in 2009 in the US magazine of the first quartile Journal of Business Ethics, is among the 20 most cited in the last decade in the Web of Science on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Specifically, it ranks 16th out of 8,900 works published from 2009 to the present in its study area.In addition, according to Google Scholar data, this work has almost 1,000 citations (994), and ranks sixth in number of citations out of a total of 4,468 papers published in the aforementioned North American publication from 2009 to the present.

One of the conclusions of the Reverte study is that companies with greater media visibility and working in sectors with greater environmental impact are more likely to disclose information related to CSR and sustainability.

Reverte, professor in the Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance, has analyzed different variables that, based on theories such as agency, interest groups and legitimacy, can help explain the differences in the levels of voluntary disclosure on CSR of companies Spanish listed.

The influence of Reverte's work has been recognized in a bibliometric study carried out in 2018 by Mura, Longo, Micheli and Bolzani entitled "The evolution of sustainability measurement research" published in one of the ten most important magazines in the area of ??Business and Management as it is the International Journal of Management Reviews (impact index = 7.6).

The investigative work of Carmelo Reverte, from the Finance group, has received various awards in recent years.He has been awarded for four consecutive years in the AECA Awards for his articles on Accounting and Business Administration.In 2019, another work by this professor was awarded by the prestigious Center for Financial Studies.

Reverte teaches classes in Business Administration and Management and Master's degrees in Accounting and Corporate Finance and the Master of Business Administration (MBA), taught in English.
