The City Council will increase surveillance on the beaches of the municipality with 279 agents (29/05/2020)

| The correct compliance with the rules of social distancing will be monitored, as well as the arrival or not of people from other autonomous communities | The Department of Citizen Security has designed a special device to control access to the beaches of the municipality of Cartagena, in this first weekend of Phase 2 in which, as stated in the decree of the central government, they will be open to the bathroom.

The device will have a total of 279 Local Police officers, who will monitor the correct compliance with the rules of social distancing, as well as the arrival or not of people from other autonomous communities.Specifically, as explained by the mayor of Citizen Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, "the reinforcement will be made up of more than fifty Local Police officers and we will also have Civil Protection personnel who will continue their informative work.

The main objective of the entire device is to prevent the overcrowding of our beaches and, for that, we must also appeal to the common sense of citizens.

The de-escalation is not over and the best way not to go back is to protect ourselves and help the authorities to protect others.

"In addition, the trainees of the Academy continue with their training and this afternoon they will join the controls that will be installed both at the entrances to the port city and in La Manga.
