Social Policy will collaborate with the Cartagena City Council to attend to homeless people after the end of the state of alarm (26/05/2020)

| Vice President Isabel Franco meets by videoconference with Deputy Mayor Noelia Arroyo | The vice president and counselor for Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, Isabel Franco, met today by videoconference with the vice mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, to address the continuity of care for homeless people in the resource 'La Hospitalidad ', where the La Huertecica collective has treated 25 homeless people since confinement was decreed due to the state of alarm derived by COVID-19.Likewise, Isabel Franco confirmed that on May 24, the Ministry issued the payment order of 54,650 euros for dining scholarships for 593 schoolchildren.

This is the second payment that has been made since March 16, when the state funds destined for this purpose arrived.

The first was 51,614 euros, with which, in total, the consistory has received 106,265 euros for dining scholarships.Lastly, Isabel Franco discussed with Noelia Arroyo the forthcoming opening of a shelter for women victims of gender violence, to which the Directorate for Women and Gender Diversity has allocated 80,000 euros.

In Cartagena, another shelter is already operating, with a budget of 60,000 euros.
