Company joins Industriales and Teleco as the venue for the EBAU exams (18/05/2020)

| The Organizing Commission for the Tests expands the venues in the Region on the occasion of the Covid-19 and establishes the use of masks as mandatory | The building of the Faculty of Business Sciences of the UPCT joins those of the School of Industrial and Teleco as the seat of the EBAU exams. This has been decided by the Organizing Committee for the University Entrance Exams, which has decided to expand the number of venues for the proper development of the tests in the context of the Covid-19 crisis. In total, the 9 classic venues for conducting the tests in the Region have grown to 24.The Organizing Committee of the Tests stresses that the ascription of centers to headquarters has been broken, thus following the criterion of geographical proximity and that students from the same locality, except Murcia and Cartagena, will be concentrated in the same campus. In this way, they point out that mobility in the regional territory has been “drastically reduced”, creating branches and sub-branches that “bring” the EBAU and avoid large displacements, using for this the criterion of locality and micro-brand.The 1,800 students who did not move at all now go to 3,750; the 2,500 that traveled between 6 and 10 are reduced to 1,600; the almost 400 that traveled between 21 and 25 kms.

they are reduced to a quarter; and none of them travel more than 31 kms., when before they did about 800, with only 22 traveling between 26 and 30 kms. This measure means reducing the kilometers traveled by students from 77,500 to 33,000.In this sense, they establish a series of security measures in order to carry out the tests, which will be one of the most massive events carried out since the State of Alarm decree. The use of masks will be compulsory, and each student must take his or her exam. However, the organization will have a “sufficient” reserve that guarantees that no one is in meeting points, corridors or classrooms without this element of protection. They also recommend that students bring their own hydrogel dispenser to the exam and use it before and after each test. The objective is to avoid the concentration of students around the dispensers that the buildings have and that are touched by many people in a very short period of time. The tables used in the tests, which will be marked with an adhesive, will be cleaned with a disinfectant at the end of each examination, complementing all this with the general disinfection tasks of the facilities. In the exam rooms there will be a minimum distance of 2 meters between students in all directions, that is, 2.5 free seats on the right and left and, in the case of classrooms with fixed benches, a complete free bench in front and another behind .In addition, the roll call at the classroom door is replaced by citing the students at meeting points outside each venue, one per classroom and subject, from where they will be conducted in an orderly and staggered manner directly to the classrooms, being distributed in the exterior around the different entrances to the building. Each student will receive an individualized document that will contain precise information on the points to which they must go for each exam, accompanied by a map indicating those points, which will be appropriately numbered and marked. The output will also be staggered.

In the event that a student suffers from Covid-19, duly documented, and is in solitary confinement or quarantine, the organization will send specific personnel to carry out the exam, in this case being appropriately protected health personnel. If a student raises doubts about a possible contagion for presenting symptoms compatible with those of the Covid-19 at the headquarters, they will be offered the possibility of examining themselves in an isolated space for this purpose at the campus itself, activating a protocol that includes a Specialized intervention by specific personnel and immediate communication with the family to contact their health center or the reference emergency telephone number, if applicable. At the same time, informative announcements on safety and hygiene measures will be installed in numerous points of each headquarters and the areas and direction of passage, meeting points, etc.

will be clearly and visibly identified.
