Public road begins the second phase of improving horizontal signs (17/05/2020)

| Includes repainting of pedestrian crossings in all coastal towns in the coming weeks | Once the work on numerous streets of the city, Los Dolores, El Bohío, Vista Alegre and Alumbres, has been completed, the Vía Pública area, which is managed by councilman Juan Pedro Torralba, has begun the second phase of repainting horizontal signage.These works, which have started in Canteras, will continue in La Azohía, Isla Plana and, after finishing in Los Nietos, next Monday they will start in Cabo de Palos.

Another team will continue to do the entire southern coastline including Los Belones and, in the northern part of the municipality, there will be another group in charge of painting the pedestrian crossings in La Ajorra, La Palma, Molinos Marfagones, the Polígono Cabezo Beaza, Torreciega, Santa Lucia, Lo Campano, Los Mateos and Barriada Santiago.As the councilor has stated, "during the summer we plan to finish these works in all those neighborhoods and areas of the city whose pedestrian crossings are still unpainted."At the beginning of June, maintenance and improvement work will also be carried out on the painting of various traffic lights in the city, as well as those at the entrance to Cartagena through Puertas de San José.

"The activity is gradually returning to our streets and we want to keep them in the best possible security conditions possible," explained Torralba.
