Local Police and Civil Protection intensify information and controls on the beaches and the city during the weekend (15/05/2020)

| Local Police reinforces its ordinary service with several units on shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in addition to 100 agents that make up the three shifts of the ordinary service | Cartagena reinforces this weekend the control of movements and security both on the beaches and in the city center.

Thus, a special Civil Protection device will offer information through the public address system in the beach areas and in the urban center of Cartagena, and police controls in the municipality will be intensified.Specifically, the Local Police reinforces its ordinary service with several units on shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in addition to the 100 officers who make up the three shifts of the ordinary service, with the aim of increasing controls and the security of the neighbors.In addition, two controls will be installed in which 11 new agents will participate who are carrying out their practices before joining the municipal staff.

In these two devices, they will be accompanied by agents and inspectors who will instruct them in the procedures to be carried out during a police control.In addition, Civil Protection will visit this Friday and Saturday the coastal areas and the city, from 8:00 p.m., with a new information campaign in which it will remind citizens of the obligation to comply with the regulations established in Phase 1 of the de-escalation.

The objective is to avoid crowds and non-compliance with the guidelines established by the central government, as well as maintaining safety on the roads of the municipality.In order to facilitate its understanding by all the residents, the messages have been recorded in three languages ??(Spanish, Arabic and French), just as it has been done throughout the State of Alarm."We have not stopped fighting this pandemic, therefore, it is very important that we do not trust ourselves and continue complying with the regulations that establish the phases of de-escalation," recalled the Councilor for Citizen Security, Juan Pedro Torralba.
