Hoteliers will be able to request the expansion of their terraces until May 20 (15/05/2020)

| This deadline has been established so that applications can be studied and the terraces can be adapted before the transition to a new phase in de-escalation | Hoteliers in Cartagena will be able to carry out the formalities and procedures necessary for the expansion of their terraces until Wednesday, May 20.

This was announced this Friday by the councilor for Public Roads, Juan Pedro Torralba, after holding a meeting with representatives of the hoteliers in which they continued to advance in the different lines of work being carried out between the City of Cartagena and Hostecar.To respond to the requests that are being registered, three work teams have been created to monitor the requests.

"Solutions are being sought for each hotelier, so that they can return to activity and start this new journey," said Juan Pedro Torralba.In this way, the way in which available tables can establish the tables allowed by regulations (50% of the capacity in phase 1) is studied and, when space on public roads does not allow them to be installed, they are analyzed alternative routes.This deadline has been established for hospitality entrepreneurs so that applications can be studied and the terraces can be adapted before the transition to a new phase in de-escalation."During all these weeks, hoteliers and the City Council are maintaining regular contacts to work hand in hand and before the new phases of the de-escalation, we will meet to analyze how to deal with each new phase," explained the councilor of Public Road."The Cartagena City Council and Hostecar agree to offer the maximum possible options to both Cartagena and hoteliers to be able to use the terraces of the establishments, but we must always respect the rules and act without trusting.

If the measures are not followed, we can put our health and that of the rest at risk and we will have to go back to the previous phase.

It is something that we do not want, but above all, we must protect the health of the people of Cartagena ”, he concluded.
