Tina Vallès closes the meetings of the Mandarache Prize 2020 (11/05/2020)

| The author of 'The memory of the tree' will hold an open meeting on the YouTube channel of the Mandarache Prize on Thursday 14 at 11:30 am and another with young people from the Mandarache Notebook workshop | The first telematic meeting in the history of the Mandarache Prize with an official finalist will take place next Thursday, May 14 at 11:30 am, on the YouTube channel of the Mandarache Prize.

The protagonist will be the writer Tina Vallès, whose visit to Cartagena was frustrated by the health crisis.During the meeting, the author will answer the questions that both students and members of different book clubs are recording on video for the occasion.

On Friday May 15, the author will hold another exclusive meeting with the fifteen young people who participate in the literary creation workshop Libreta Mandarache, organized in collaboration with the library of the National Museum of Underwater Archeology, ARQVA.The main meeting, which will be presented by the teacher and member of the promoting group, M.ª José Villarroya, is held thanks to the technical support of the UPCT Audiovisual Content Production Center (CPCD), which is in charge of the regular broadcasting of the meetings with the author held at the Auditorium.The Department of Youth of the Cartagena City Council has chosen YouTube as the platform for this meeting due to its wide accessibility, as opposed to other social networks such as Instagram or Facebook that do not allow direct attendance if you do not have a user profile.After the meeting with Tina Vallès, which closes the series of meetings with the finalist authors, the official voting period for the Mandarache and Hache Awards will open, extended from May 15 at 10:00 a.m.

Hernández is entitled "The memory of the tree", a story told from the perspective of a young child and structured around themes such as family memory, the construction of their own identity and the care of the elderly.

This novel has already earned the author in its original version in Catalan the Anagrama Llibres Award in 2017.
