| Priority will be given to actions aimed at the groups most affected by the Covid-19 crisis | The municipal government will approve tomorrow, Tuesday May 12, the offer of 865,000 euros in aid to social entities that carry out their work in Cartagena, through a competitive process that will prioritize actions aimed at the groups most affected by the Covid crisis -19.The organizations, groups and entities of the third sector will be able to compute for the first time as expenses those related to the personnel, in attention to the special effort that confinement and home treatments impose for the development of the programs.780,000 euros are destined to the Social Action entities of the municipality that collaborate in the provision of social service programs for groups at risk of social exclusion, people with disabilities, immigrants, social minorities, the Roma population and prevention of addictions.As explained by the Deputy Mayor and elevenjala of Social Welfare, Noelia Arroyo, these grants "will help organizations that are key to caring for groups especially vulnerable to the crisis.

They are social entities that have not stopped working in very complicated conditions and that we now need to help us protect groups very sensitive to the economic crisis and to maintain personalized attention to people with disabilities who need special treatments.

This is one way of helping them to help us.

We have adapted the conditions of the subsidies to the new reality and, among other innovations, we want to make sure that the entities, especially the social and healthcare companies, can maintain their teams of therapists and other specialists who have had difficulties doing their work.

”Another 85,000 euros will be offered, also by competitive participation, to Non-Governmental Development Organizations with headquarters or delegation in Cartagena for the execution of International Cooperation projects.The call has been advanced to the approval of the budget to speed up the procedures and that the funds come quickly to social organizations.

Those who aspire to obtain this financial support must submit their projects within fifteen days after their official publication.
