| Among the measures being considered, the creation of a Marketplace platform and the use of ADLE as a unique tool to focus all labor, tax and aid information | The Department of Commerce, together with the Local Development and Employment Agency (ADLE), will prepare a revitalization plan for the sector focused on the recovery of customer confidence and the launch of online sales in practically all shops Township.

It is one of the measures announced this Thursday, May 7 by the deputy mayor and head of the area, Manuel Padín, in a meeting held with representatives of local merchants' associations in which the councilors Irene Ruiz and Cristina Pérez also participated, together with the manager of the ADLE, Fulgencio Cerón."The objective is to focus initiatives that help reactivate the commercial sector during the de-escalation phases of the health crisis and in the new normality that is generated through specific campaigns," explained the mayor of Commerce.

In this sense, the councilor has indicated that any decision made in this regard "will be made with the greatest possible consensus of the sector through specific meetings and the Trade Council", of which he announced that his next meeting will take place "As soon as the state of alarm decreed by the central government allows it."For this reason, the mayor has required the groups to send to the Department all the proposals and measures that they believe are necessary to promote the recovery of the sector in order to work from the area and be able to implement them as soon as possible. On the table is already the creation of a virtual Marketplace platform, aimed at online sales that covers all businesses, in order to produce a joint distribution of products.

Likewise, the Department has updated the ComCéntrico municipal website in order to serve as a platform for all the associations in the municipality, collecting all the information related to the sector and allowing the groups to use it in campaigns and promotions that are launched.

"The idea is that this website is the space in which all businesses can gain visibility and promote the sector," explained Manuel Padín.For its part, the president of the ADLE, Irene Ruiz, stressed that "the Agency is available to businesses and businesses in the municipality.

We know that the situation is difficult but we have to join forces with everyone and for this, we need the involvement of all businesses.

"In addition, the mayor recalled that" from ADLE we conducted a survey of businesses to design a training line based on your needs ”.Irene Ruiz has continued explaining the importance of promoting associationism: “For this, we need the help and involvement of all businesses to carry out a comprehensive plan to boost trade, also coordinated with other council departments of the City Council.

From the ADLE we believe that we must promote associationism, that businesses and companies unite and thus, become stronger ”.On the other hand, the councilor delegate for Business, Cristina Pérez, has expressed the importance of tourism in the commerce sector.

For this reason, the mayor recalled that "we already have a tourism promotion plan at the regional level, and later nationally, which we discussed yesterday with the Minister of Tourism.

In addition, from the City Council, we have also launched the purchase of 1,000 hotel bonds in Cartagena to help with liquidity for the hotel sector.

”For their part, the representatives of the associations have exposed the situation that they live in their respective areas and have advanced measures that have been implemented for de-escalation, such as in the San Fernando commercial area, where hygiene kits have been distributed among the merchants to ensure that sanitary measures are respected among customers.Likewise, professionals have been very interested in the measures adopted by the City Council regarding exemption from fees.

The Councilor for Commerce recalled that the Government already announced last week that it is going to exempt from the payment of the garbage fee to businesses forced to close during the state of alarm and that the social fund of Hidrogea has been opened to businesses so they can take refuge in it.

In addition, the mayor has advanced that the Executive is looking at the legal formulas so that the exemption from the garbage rate is for the whole year.
