In the framework of Operation JEVAN, agents from the Investigation Team of Telematic Scams of A Coruña in collaboration with the Territorial Team of the Judicial Police of Cartagena, closed the investigation of two people in the town of Cartagena (Murcia), as authors of UN CONTINUED CRIME OF SCAM.As a result of the investigation initiated in early January 2020, carried out by the A Coruña Scam Investigation Team, following a complaint filed by a neighbor of Culleredo, it was possible to establish the unequivocal connection of two people residing in the town de Cartagena (Murcia), with a large number of fraudulent advertisements, in which objects for physical exercise at home were advertised.
These announcements were published through Internet portals, specialized in the sale and purchase of second-hand products.The scammers, two residents of Cartagena, 32 and 28 years old, respectively, after formalizing the sales of the products and once they received payment for them, began to lengthen delivery times, citing problems unrelated to them.
Finally, the perpetrators of the crimes, cut off all lines of communication with deceived people, never receiving the products or returning the amounts transferred, thus producing a multitude of crimes against property between the months of November 2019 per month February 2020.The value of the scammed to the neighbor of Culleredo, amounts to 450 euros.
