Entre Cuerdas y Metales shows during the state of alarm the great talents that exist in the Region (05/05/2020)

| Through the 'Talent from Home' initiative, more than fifty young musicians have given their artistic gifts through social networks, and they will continue to offer masterful performances in the coming weeks | Since the declaration by the government of the State of Alarm as a consequence of the health emergency caused by Covid 19, the Entre Cuerdas y Metales program promoted by the Department of Youth together with the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, has contributed its grain of sand to animate the situation and make this quarantine a little more bearable thanks to music, through “Talentos desde casa”.To do this, from the moment this confinement came into force, the contestants and winners of the Entre Cuerdas y Metales Contest were also involved, as well as all those young musicians who wanted to liven up their talents day by day, to participate in #talentodesdecasaecym (instagram and twitter of the contest: @cuerdasymetales) to interpret the musical pieces with which they were going to compete in the contest, putting name, title of the work and composer.After fifty days of confinement, a total of 58 musicians have participated among contestants and winners of Entre Cuerdas y Metales throughout their 23-year history, and they will continue this week and the next acting altruistically.For all this, the organizers of the contest have thanked them, as well as the large number of followers on social networks, exceeding 25,000 views and with great echo in other networks such as Radio Clásica, where they have been retweeted post like the of the pianist Celia Sánchez González, awarded in the XXI edition; the guitarist Paola Requena Toulouse, awarded in the II; the violist Ana Mba, awarded in the 10th edition, and the flute player Paula Vera Arce, who also participated in the contest.Thus, during the remaining days of confinement, the great musical talent that exists in the Region can continue to be enjoyed through the Internet and that, in each edition of Entre Cuerdas y Metales, is revealed.
