The Governing Board approves the process so that businesses closed by Covid-19 do not pay the garbage fee (29/04/2020)

| The Hydrogea Social Fund has also been expanded so that freelancers and entrepreneurs can request it, being exempt from paying the receipt of the water in its entirety | The Governing Board of the Cartagena City Council, meeting today under the chairmanship of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the declaration ex officio in section 3.30 of the Ordinance of the Garbage Rate, by which all those commercial premises forced to closing due to the application of the Alarm Status are considered “closed” and, therefore, only 14.30 euros must be paid in this regard on the corresponding receipt.Although the drop in this rate is automatically made by the City Council to the businesses affected by the alarm decree, an instance has been set up, which will soon be accessible through the municipal electronic office. In addition, the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, recalled that the Hydrogea Social Fund has also been expanded so that freelancers and entrepreneurs can request it, thus exempting them from paying the water bill in full. The City Council will make available to employers the application form to join the Social Fund, which can be downloaded and filled in electronically, starting next Monday, May 4.These two actions are part of the measures that the municipal government has adopted to help local entrepreneurs overcome the current economic crisis.
