MC: 'La Trinca' wants to 'give away' the compatibility for private activity to the director of the Municipal Legal Department (26/04/2020)

| Jesús Giménez describes the proposal as "obscene" and I remember that it is only possible if the salary he receives is lowered, "almost equal to Pedro Sánchez "| Tomorrow a meeting of the Finance and Interior Commission will take place in which the Government has included a proposal to grant compatibility for the exercise of a second position or activity in the teaching field to a series of public employees for reasons, as they point out, of "public interest or special interest for the service". Given this situation, last Friday, the deputy spokesman for the Municipal Group MC, Jesús Giménez, transferred in writing to the Mayor that this proposal has several irregularities.

Specifically, Giménez requested that the report of the General Secretary of the Plenary regarding the compatibility of each of the individual situations submitted to the Commission be incorporated. Regarding the specific case of two directors general, it is estimated that the reports of the General Secretariat of the Plenary of April 8, 2019 should be added, or those that substitute them in a motivated way if the criteria of the body has changed, in addition to also incorporating the report of the General Secretariat of the Plenary on the possibility of delegating this competence to the Governing Board. The deputy spokesman for MC Cartagena, Jesús Giménez, has started calling this matter an "obscene proposal", the only one that the Government is taking to the next plenary session to be held this Thursday, April 30, and which will be previously discussed in the Commission tomorrow. Immediately afterwards, it has valued the intention of the Executive when trying to "approve 'for the interest of the service', they say, the compatibility of the director of the Legal Department to continue teaching in a private center without reducing his salary as required by regulations." The Cartagena leader has regretted the 'trick' of the local government to overshadow this action "mixing it with the requests of ten other public employees whose compatibility is in accordance with the law." The interest-for-service argument Giménez has continued to wonder if "the 'interest for service' we do not know if it is a euphemism because they hope that the judicial results of the City Council will improve if they are trained at the University; or simply because they are interested in reports like the one that helped them to favor the political persecution against José López, or those who must guarantee that Hidrogea will tender works with public money, something they announced that they intend to continue doing.

" Finally, Jesús Giménez has stated that "we cannot let this matter pass.

Of course, he can teach at the private center, but if his salary is lowered, a salary almost equal to the 84,000 euros that Pedro Sánchez charges, said step, and that in times of pandemic Arroyo, Castejón and Padín consider it to be in the general interest to maintain.

This is how 'La Trinca' ensures public money and legality.
