| The boys and girls of the Barriada have produced 'The Adventures of Martina' with the help of their parents to commemorate this anniversary | The Villalba Neighborhood celebrates this Day of the Book with a story that the smallest of the neighborhood have prepared showing all their creativity, one of the best allies for self-esteem in these days of confinement.
The result of this work by the boys and girls of the Barriada is “The Adventures of Martina”.The initiative is part of the Gypsy Development Plan that the Cartagena City Council, together with the Abraham Project, is carrying out in the Villalba neighborhood through the Alba Project.Although the project has undergone adaptations due to the state of alarm, the multidisciplinary team continues to work with families in all areas of the project.
Preparation classes for the free ESO test, emotional support for families, job counseling, mediation and facilitation to cover basic needs, dance workshops, cooking and many more.
The positive parenting workshop gets a special boost on these days of confinement.
With the proximity of Book Day, families with minors from the neighborhood have been working to make this beautiful story together.Through audio messages it has been the children themselves who have created this story, not without the help of their mothers who have facilitated the story to advance.
They proposed to illustrate it, so the description of the characters was made in the first phase of work, so that everyone got down to work, so it has been a community, creative, inclusive and very fun job.
