The Platform in defense of Public Health "Let's save Rosell" wants to express its absolute disagreement with the response that the Parliamentary Groups of the Popular Party, Vox and Citizens have given to the amendment presented by the Socialist Parliamentary Group so that the Santa María Hospital del Rosell will work 100% and the Hemodynamic Service will be extended to 24 hours, 365 days a year. For this Platform, now more than ever, these votes against, mean saying "NO" to citizens and Public Health that is suffering so much at this time of health crisis. It should not be forgotten that the Law for this hospital to operate at full capacity has been approved since March 21, 2016. The Parliamentary Groups that have voted no to this amendment, are the same ones that complain about the lack of sanitary resources and the mismanagement that the Central Government is carrying out in the Coronavirus crisis. It seems that the suffering of the health personnel of Area II of Health does not worry those Parliamentary Groups that prefer that there be a single hospital to attend to a population that triples in summer.
Not even the moments that we are experiencing a pandemic have made PP, VOX and CITIZENS reflect, taking into account that the latter voted in favor of said Law in 2016. The citizens of Cartagena and its region do not deserve this, we are the worst waiting list data we have, and when this pandemic passes, we will be embarrassed to see it again.
We will verify that a simple period of influenza or the arrival of the floating population of second residence, collapses the only hospital in St.
Lucia, making the population and professionals suffer, as we have been observing annually. This platform will continue to demand compliance with the Law, in addition to the breaches of the optional of the Law of incompatibilities in defense of Public Health.
