The Islamic communities of Cartagena turn over with the emergency device (16/04/2020)

| They have come together to donate 8 pallets with sugar, oil, milk, legumes, flour and juices | Under the motto 'solidarity and coexistence', the six Islamic communities of Cartagena have come together to make a food donation to the social emergency device, worth about 6,000 euros. These communities are Iman Malek from Los Dolores, Qobaa from Barrio Peral, Albujon, Virgen de la Caridad, San Antón and Ibrahim de San Antón, who have written a statement thanking all the authorities for the fight against COVID19, on behalf of all the Muslims of Cartagena. "On behalf of the Islamic communities we want to offer our help to the neediest families.

First we want to thank the Cartagena City Council and its team for what they are doing for these families.

We wanted to contribute a grain of sand to help in a difficult time like the one we are experiencing.

We also want to thank the group of Islamic communities who have drawn their spirit of solidarity to collaborate with those most in need, "said Walid Habbal Turk, representative of the Islamic Communities of the Region of Murcia. The food, which they took this morning to the base of the municipal device in the Wssell pavilion in Guimbarda, consisted of 8 pallets with sugar, oil, milk, flour, juices and legumes.Mayor Ana Belén Castejón has thanked this donation on behalf of the entire municipal government.

Thank you very much for encouraging us to continue working for the most vulnerable in this situation, ”said Castejón.Also Ali Bekkaoui Boukhari, representative of one of the Islamic Communities working in Cartagena, wanted to encourage citizens to collaborate.

"We have given our participation in these difficult times and from here we encourage the entire population to approach any nearby center to contribute their help."
