The Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC) has made a first donation in the morning of this Wednesday, April 15, with a total of 2,000 kilos of food and essential products to the emergency device, launched by the City Council de Cartagena, focused on infant feeding.

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has thus shown her appreciation “for the enormous solidarity shown by the entrepreneurs of the municipality.

I knew that the generosity of this municipality was exemplary but, without a doubt, they are exceeding any expectation ”.

For her part, the president of COEC, Ana Correa, who has delivered all the products, has expressed her appreciation and gratitude to all the entrepreneurs in the region who "have also seen their activity diminished as a result of the health crisis, but that, despite everything, they have come together again to show off their commitment to Cartagena society and to the most disadvantaged ”.

It is an initiative of the entrepreneurs of the Cartagena region who have mobilized to gather these products, which will be managed by the Social Services of the City Council and distributed to the most vulnerable groups that have been affected by the crisis derived from the COVID -19.

It is the first of a series of deliveries that will be made in response to social needs throughout these months.

Under the slogan 'Compromised Entrepreneurs', the Cartagena employers association organizes several solidarity events throughout the year and, on this extraordinary occasion, they have also wanted to join the wave of solidarity that is taking place throughout the region these days.
