The Cartagena City Council will strengthen the controls of this bridge with 172 agents (08/04/2020)

The Local Police will reinforce surveillance at the entrances to the municipality of Cartagena throughout the Easter bridge with 172 officers.

The device will have a total of 92 checkpoints that will be installed in La Manga del Mar Menor, the Las Salinas highway with Los Alemanes beach, Mar de Cristal, Honda Beach, La Aljorra, El Algar, Los Nietos, Pozo Estrecho , Los Urrutias and Punta Brava.

The objective is to avoid displacement to second homes both by the people of Cartagena themselves and by citizens of other autonomous communities.

In addition, on the beaches the red flag indicates that they are closed.

Thus, the Councilor for Security, Juan Pedro Torralba, recalled that “we continue to fight this pandemic and throughout this week we have more than 350 agents watching over our security.

The only thing we ask citizens is that they do not go out, much less move to their homes in the countryside or on the beach.

Please stay home. "

The reinforcement of access control forms part of the actions that the Cartagena City Council has launched, in order to guarantee the safety of citizens, as well as compliance with the regulations established in the Decree of the State of Alarm issued by the Government of Spain.
