I fill the extraordinary flight for the Italian students of the UPCT to return home this Wednesday (06/04/2020)

Full plane.

In less than 24 hours, the tickets for the extraordinary flight of the NEOS company have been sold, in which the Italians attending this semester will return home through international mobility programs at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).

The return flight has been managed by the UPCT International Relations Service through the Unità di Crisi della Farnesina, the Ambasciata d'Italia to Madrid and with Alessandra Di Pippo, consul of the Consolato Generale d'Italia to Barcellona, after having received various requests from Italian students.

The NEOS company plane will take off this Wednesday, at 15:50.

You will make a stopover in Rome Fiumicino, and then you will land at 7:55 p.m. at the Milano Malpensa airport.

One of the students who leaves on this plane, Valentina Coletta, a law graduate who since last September has done her internship at the UPCT International Relations Service, has expressed her gratitude to the University for managing this extraordinary flight .

"I was very overwhelmed because I finished my internship on March 31, in full confinement, and with the closing of borders I have not been able to get a ticket to go home," she explains.

Furthermore, uncertainty must be added to this situation, according to Coletta.

«Not knowing when you will return to your family, home.

I feel, from one day to the next, as trapped », she adds.

Valentina Coletta to travel in alarm between countries is protected by a pass from the Italian government.

The international health alert makes these students return to their cities, albeit on a voluntary basis, weeks and even months ahead of schedule.

Researchers and students of the UPCT who were making stays abroad through different mobility programs, are returning these days.

Professors and doctoral students have already done it from the United Kingdom.

This afternoon and morning several students return on the extraordinary flights that the Government of Spain has made available to those permanent residents in Spain and currently in Italy due to the alarm situation.
