The Cartagena City Council will broadcast the Salve Cartagenera from its Church of Santa María de Gracia tonight on its YouTube channel, attending to the requests of numerous absent Cartagena and others from different areas of the municipality who had problems doing it through the radio, as noted by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
The broadcast will take place from 8:45 p.m., with the collaboration of Onda Cartagena and in it you will be able to see the streaming of the bells, the firing of the traditional rocket that will give way to the drums and the opening, via streaming of the doors of the temple, after which the salve will be intoned, to end with the bugle playing the interpretation of the national anthem, as is customary in the gathering of all Cartagena processions.
In this way, every day of this unique Holy Week, the first since the Civil War without processions in Cartagena, the greeting will be broadcast on the YouTube channel.
It will also be broadcast through the local radio station Onda Cartagena, on 87.5 FM.
The retransmissions the rest of the days will be all at 20:45, except the one on Easter Sunday, scheduled at 13:45.
After the salve, the website of the City Council will offer links to the procession of the previous years, carried out by Telecartagena;
in this case that of the 2019 Burrica.
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, invited the people of Cartagena a few days ago to revive the processions, adorning the facades of the buildings and joining the song of the salve every night from their balconies.
