Extraordinary flight for Italian students to return home (05/04/2020)

Day 21 #YoMeQuedoEnCasa -The UPCT manages the return of students from international mobility programs due to the alarm situation due to the coronavirus.

The university students of the Polytechnic of Cartagena who are in the transalpine country return this Monday and Tuesday The Italian students who study this semester return home through international mobility programs at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).

An extraordinary flight will take off next Wednesday to Rome and Milano.

The international health alert makes these students return to their cities, albeit on a voluntary basis, weeks and even months ahead of schedule.

The return flight has been managed by the UPCT International Relations Service through UnitĂ  di Crisi della Farnesina, Ambasciata d'Italia to Madrid and Consolato Generale d'Italia to Barcellona after having received various requests from Italian students, indicates the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, José Manuel Ferrández.

The NEOS company plane will take off on Wednesday, at 15:50.

You will make a stopover in Rome Fiumicino, and then you will land at 7:55 p.m. at the Milano Malpensa airport.

The 200 students from the Mare Nostrum 37/38 Campus of International Excellence, who study at the two public universities in the Region, can benefit from this extraordinary flight.

Young people who are temporarily outside of Italy can also buy their ticket.

The International Relations Service has contacted all Italian students to inform them of the flight.

This extraordinary flight can also be used by students of the University of Murcia.

The more than 130 Italian students that the UPCT welcomes make their stay through different international mobility programs.

Among them: Erasmus +, CMN-INPS and Archimede.

These young people are awarded scholarships for a period of their undergraduate, master's or practical studies.

The duration of these programs lasts between 4 and 12 months.
